Domains and DNS
Once a domain's DNS records are in place, Jade receives mail sent to it and sends from it.

Use a domain you own
Add the DNS records Jade lists at your registrar.
Use a domain set aside for Jade. Once Receiving is ready, all mail to the domain arrives here.
What each DNS record does
- MX on
yourdomain.comdelivers mail for your domain to Jade. - DKIM proves to receivers that mail you send is from your domain.
- MX on
mail.yourdomain.comcompletes sending setup. - SPF on
mail.yourdomain.comtells receivers Jade may send for your domain. - SPF on
yourdomain.comlists every service that sends for your domain. - DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the checks above.
What the statuses mean
- Points elsewhere: Replace it with Jade's value.
A record won't verify
If a record still reads Not added yet after a few hours, check for:
- A value that doesn't match. Some registrars add quotes, strip spaces, or cut long TXT values short. Open the saved record and compare it with Jade's value.
- A registrar that refuses the CNAME. Another record already exists at that name. Delete it, then add the CNAME.
- Records on a different domain. Check that you edited the domain you added to Jade.
Deleting a domain
Turn off screening before deleting the domain. Mail already received stays.
Mail from a new domain lands in spam
A new domain has no sending reputation, so its first messages can land in spam even with every record in place. This improves over a few weeks of normal sending.
